Yes, we can accredit your in-house training courses and award certificates that will be recognised by other awarding bodies, colleges and employers.

Do universities accept open awards?

On average it takes a year to complete, though some courses work on different timescales. Like A-Levels, the Diploma is a full Level 3 qualification, available in a wide range of subjects, that is accepted by most universities and other HEIs, to meet their course entry requirements.

What does ABC Awards stand for?

This only applies to our Diploma Courses: ABC Awards are a UK government regulated accrediting body. This means that any course that has been accredited by ABC Awards has been deemed fit for purpose and is recognised. Upon successful completion of your course, you will receive your Diploma from the college.

Who is the awarding body for functional skills?

Did you know that the course curriculum, recommended learning hours and final test length vary between awarding bodies? Functional Skills English Level 2 qualification is accredited by AQA, City & Guilds, Future Quals, Highfield, IQ, NCFE, NOCN, OCR, Open Awards, Skills First and Pearson.

How can I check my qualifications UK?

Step 1: Visit our office with your original education qualification certificate and ID. Step 2: Complete the verification request form and submit a consent letter. We will then email a copy of the consent letter along with the a copy of your document to the awarding UK institution for confirmation.

Are ABC and Certa awards Recognised?

As of the 1st September 2018, ABC Awards’s legal name has changed to Skills and Education Group Awards. However, as known and recognised names, ”ABC Awards” and “Certa Awards” will remain as the brands in the market, benefiting from the support, expertise and resources provided by Skills and Education Group Awards.

Is CPD equivalent to NVQ?

CPD as mentioned previously stands for Continuing Professional Development. This is a way to track or record activities that are taken both formally and informally after your initial training or qualifications. Any course other than a qualification that you attend is not equivalent to or similar to an NVQ level.

What is the pass mark for functional skills Maths Level 2?

32-37 marks
Functional Skills Maths Both Level 1 and Level 2 assessments are designed to have a pass mark in the range of 32-37 marks.

How long does a functional skills qualification last?

Do functional skills expire? Functional Skill qualifications are acceptable regardless of when the qualification was achieved. They have no expiry and the 5 year rule does not apply.

How do you check someone’s qualifications?

Response times vary, as Verifile is dependent on the institute’s participation. We aim to give you a response within 5 – 10 working days — but if we cannot achieve that, we will let you know why. Many institutions are now charging a fee before they respond to such requests.
