How do you open a stuck bonnet on a Ford Fiesta?

Here’s how to do it properly:

  1. First, make sure your handbrake’s on and the ignition’s turned off.
  2. Let your engine cool for about 10 minutes.
  3. Reach under the dash and pull the lever.
  4. The bonnet will pop open.
  5. Lift the bonnet slightly and feel the release catch, then slide it to the left.
