How did Jesus help Christianity?
Jesus preached, taught in parables, and gathered disciples. It is believed that through his crucifixion and subsequent resurrection, God offered humans salvation and eternal life, that Jesus died to atone for sin to make humanity right with God.
What was Jesus purpose?
This is the reason that Jesus came to the earth: to save his people from their sins by his life, death and resurrection. His great purpose was to restore sinners to their God so that they may have eternal life forever with him.
What does Jesus save us from?
Jesus saves us from our sins by his word, through which he calls sinners to repentance. (Matthew 9:13). The psalmist says: “(God) sent his word and healed them.” (Psalm 107:20). Jesus’ word frees us from the bondage of sin.

Why do we need to be saved by Jesus?

Since God is infinite and eternal, and since all sin is ultimately against God ( Psalm 51:4 ), only an infinite and eternal punishment is sufficient. Eternal death is the only just punishment for sin. That is why we need to be saved.

Through his sacrificial death, Jesus offers to save us from punishment and separation from God. He wants to show us God’s mercy by sparing us from the penalties for disobedience. He wants to show us God’s grace by giving us the opportunity to have a lasting relationship with God.

Who was saved by the sacrifice of Jesus?
