When did Niceic come force?

What is difference between ECA and Niceic?
ECA is for the contractor. Probably not the thoughts of the ECA only members leckie when Part P came out and they had to be assessed for Part P, whereas NICEIC Approved Contractors were automatically on board. That’s the situation for me John, so taking the NIC road may be easier.

How long does 18th edition last?
The 18th edition exam is a 2 hour 60 question online exam. In order to pass you will need to have about 60% of the questions right. This means you have 2 minutes for each question which should be just enough to understand the question and locate the correct answer in the I.E.E. Wiring Regulations book.

How does an electrical contractor become an Approved Contractor?
Electrical contractors register with the organisation to become approved contractors, meeting the NICEIC’s specification of training. If work undertaken by the approved contractor is not up-to-standard, the NICEIC will correct it if necessary.
