Do DNA tests expire?
DNA kits can be used for at least one year after the date of purchase, and often longer. If you’ve had a DNA kit for more than a year and you haven’t sent in your saliva sample, activate the kit and send in your sample. If the test fails at the lab, we’ll replace your AncestryDNA kit.
How long is a 23andMe test good for?
The saliva collection kit includes a buffer solution that is added to your saliva immediately after you finish providing your sample. This solution stabilizes the DNA and prevents bacterial contamination. Buffered samples are stable at a wide range of temperatures (-4ºF to 122ºF or -20ºC to 50ºC) for up to 6 months.
How do I recover my 23andMe account?

Why is my 23andMe taking so long?
While samples are processed in the order in which they are received, some samples may require additional steps to be processed successfully, therefore extending the processing time. Sample processing takes approximately 3-5 weeks from the time your sample is received at the lab.
