Has anyone windsurfed across the Atlantic?
In 1981 Marty became the first person to windsurf across the Atlantic Ocean, using a specially equipped sailboard and accompanied by a supply boat. His first attempt was on 28 November 1981. Marty had traveled a total 4,222 kilometres (2,623 mi; 2,280 nmi), in 37 days, 16 hours and four minutes.

Pilot Christian Marty is hailed as a hero for steering the blazing aircraft away from a densely populated center of town. The crash killed all 110 people aboard the supersonic jetliner on its way across the Atlantic. In 1982, Marty became the first person to windsurf across the Atlantic.
How did the Concorde crash?
When the tires exploded a piece hit the underside of the aircraft, which ruptured one of the fuel cells slightly ahead of the intakes to the engines 1 and 2. The fuel, which ignited, choked out the two engines on the left side, and the Concorde crashed into a hotel in Gonesse, France just 5 km from the runway.

G-BOAB remains at Heathrow Airport as the last Concorde there and can be seen by departing passengers in her current location as seen in the two pictures below and other pictures further down the page. Since this 2000, the story of this Concorde has been a rather sad one.
