The PINsentry card reader is used to authenticate your identity by generating a one-off 8-digit code so that you can make use of all our Online Banking services. You can also use it to log in to Online Banking if you can’t remember your passcode.

Does any PINsentry work?

Yes, you should be able to use someone else’s card reader. Most other banks’ readers will work but you can only use your own card and PIN. For your own security, you should only use a card reader from a trusted source and make sure that the label on the back is intact.
