- Bypass the heater.
- Remove the thermostat.
- Disconnect upper hose at the thermostat.
- Connect a discharge hose (shop vac hose) to T-stat outlet.
- Remove radiator cap.
- Run a garden hose into radiator where cap was removed.
- Run engine until clean water is discharged.
- Keep an eye on water flow & engine temp.
