Is anthrocon 2021 happening?
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Anthrocon, the annual furry convention held in Pittsburgh each year, announced on its Facebook page on Sunday that they will not hold the convention in 2021. This is the second year in a row that Anthrocon has been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Is Anthrocon free?
Children who are 12 years old and younger at the time of the convention can get into the convention for free. As such they do not need to register and do not get a convention badge.

How much does it cost to get into anthrocon?
Tickets are on sale through Anthrocon’s website. You can buy a one-day pass for $30, a four-day one for $60 or spring for one of the more expensive ticket packages that come with perks and merchandise.

Is anthrocon kid friendly?
From 13 to 17, minors may feel free to enjoy the convention on their own, with or without their parents, once the minor has their membership badge. Parents are very welcome to purchase their own membership and attend Anthrocon, but do not need to.
How much are furry con tickets?
The cost to register for a furry convention as a non-sponsor is typical $60 or less, but once one figure in the costs of transportation, lodging, and meals, attendees are likely to spend upwards of $400 to attend. Some furries do not attend any conventions, while others attend several each year.
What age can you start competitive dance?
From our research, the most conducive age to begin serious training is around ages 7-9. Prior to this children should be acquiring movement and co-ordination skills in age-appropriate activities that might include dance. So if you or your child wants to start dance lessons, there is no better time to start then today!
How old do you have to be to go to a furry con?
Attendees under the age of majority are commonly allowed to attend with a notarized parental permission slip or accompanied by an adult. Eurofurence is one exception, admitting only those above 18.
What kind of iD do you need to register at Anthrocon?
For all attendees aged 18 years and older we require government-issued photo ID so that we can make sure nobody other than you is trying to pick up your badge, or register in your name. Anthrocon accepts the following as a single-form ID: USA or Canada Driver’s License, USA or Canada State ID, USA Military ID, or a Passport.
When do I pay for my Anthrocon membership?
Payments for Anthrocon 2021 memberships will not be charged until April 2nd. When registering, you will receive a confirmation email stating that you have been pre-registered for Anthrocon 2021. There will be a $1 pre-authorization charge that will be immediately reversed to verify that the card is valid.
