What does the EEC relay control?
EEC Power Relay not only supplies battery power to the fuel injection engine (also known as EEC electronic control assembly), but also supplies power to fuel injectors, fuel injector relay, pump and some other emission-related solenoid valves.
What does EEC power relay mean?
EEC stands for. Electronic. Engine. Control. It is the relay that sends power to the PCM (computer).
How do you test an EEC relay?
Turn key ON, another slot should now have 12v, this is power for the relay from the EEC relay, Red wire. If no 12v on second slot then check EEC relay. The Light Blue/orange wire should be the ground wire from the EEC, connect test light to + on battery and to this wire, turn key ON, light should come on for 2 seconds.
What is the EEC-IV?
EEC-IV The EEC-IV design debuted for the 1984 model year and was found on engines with both CFI (central fuel injection) and PFI (port fuel injection) as well as on a few carburetor-equipped engines. The primary difference between EEC-IV and its predecessors is in the reference voltage supplied to its sensors.
What is EEC fuse?
The EEC fuse protects most of the EEC-IV system, including the computer module, the sensors, and the solenoids the EEC-IV computer controls. I wish I had a quick, easy answer, but I don’t.
What is a EEC module?
The Ford EEC or Electronic Engine Control is a series of ECU (or Engine Control Unit) that was designed and built by Ford Motor Company. The first system, EEC I, used processors and components developed by Toshiba in 1973. It began production in 1974, and went into mass production in 1975.
How does EEC IV work?
EEC-IV works with a “look-up table” to control fuel and spark timing. Based upon data from the sensors and the hardcoded information about the size of the engine and the fuel flow rate of the injector, it then mathematically calculates an injector opening.
What is EEC distributor?
The distributors in EEC-III (and later) systems eliminate conventional mechanical and vacuum advance mechanisms. All timing is controlled by the engine computer, which is capable of firing the spark plug at any point within a 50-degree range depending on calibration.

What is an EEC test?
An EEG, or electroencephalogram, is a test that records the electrical signals of the brain by using small metal discs (called electrodes) that are attached to your scalp. Your brain cells communicate with each other using electrical impulses.
