the PCV valve can be on either valve cover but should be the highest point in the front, because hot air rises and you want efficient scavenging of the vapors. Conversely, you want the breather to be as much opposite the PCV location, so rear most (and lowest) point on the valve covers.

By the way my brake booster vacuum line has one way check valve vacuum pressure going to manifold from brake booster so there is no way that mist oil would enter to the booster. And because of the check valve it maintain the vacuum pressure of the booster. PCV is a metered leak and certainly not a good place to T vacuum assist brakes.
