Otoboke Beaver are a high-energy, all-female garage rock band from Kyoto, Japan. Their frenetic live show and colourful visuals have grown them a strong local following and an international cult status. We spoke with lead singer Accorinrin and guitarist Yoyoyoshie to hear the band’s story.

Does Cattle Decapitation use a drum machine?
But perhaps the most pleasantly surprising aspect for me is Dave McGraw’s drum sound. It sounds completely organic, quite a bit different from the band’s past albums, and doesn’t give the feel of a drum machine, something that’s unfortunately quite common in modern extreme metal.
