134a is a Hydroflurocarbon refrigerant while 1234yf is a Hydrofluroolefin refrigerant. While these are two separate classes of refrigerants they are in fact very close to each other. There are no moving parts on this addition as it is part of the hose line. The operating pressures and temperatures of 1234yf are VERY similar to that of 134a.
