Are bigger or smaller rims better?
While larger-diameter wheels and tires should improve handling and high-speed performance, lower-profile tires also tend to have a firmer ride and may be noisier than the smaller, standard rubber. Bigger wheels cost more money. The bigger you go, the more expensive the wheels and tires.
Are Bigger wheels better?
Bigger Wheels = Bigger Bills Overall, bigger tires and wheels are better for increasing your vehicle’s traction. Changing to larger tires with an improper sidewall height can cause damage to your vehicle’s suspension system, wheels, and the tires themselves, and can run the risk of incorrect speedometer readings.

A 10″ tire should be fine on a 7 or 8″ wheel.
Does the rim size matter?
The size of the rim won’t really matter if you keep the overall outside diameter of the tire the same as your factory tires. If your factory rims are 18 inches with a meaty tire, you can get 22s and go with a lower profile tire and keep the same overall diameter.

If you choose bigger wheels, you will improve the stability of your car and the range of braking distance will be shortened; A larger diameter means that the wheel will be heavier and consequently speed will be slightly compromised during acceleration (depending also on the torque of the car);
Are 18 or 19 inch wheels better?
The 18-inch tires create a bit more road noise, and this is further exacerbated when the car jumps up to the 19-inch wheels and tires. On the performance front, the 19-inch tires reportedly allow for sharper turn-in and more mid-corner balance, whereas the 17-inch tire felt more vague.
Can you put a 12.5 inch tire on a 7 inch rim?
Registered. a 12.5″ wide tire is ok on a stock/7″ wheel….it’s not the best, but the real issue is the backspacing of stock wheels. a 12.5″ tire on the stock rims will rub badly. you would need wheel spacers to run that setup, and you can sometimes run new wheels for the cost of spacers.
Can I put a 10 inch wide tire on a 8 inch rim?
You can’t even fit a 10 wide tire on an 8 inch wide rim I wouldn’t think. You can go one inch without much of a problem typically, but two I don’t think would work. If it does fit, I would expect a ton of sidewall punctures but your rim being okay. But if you run it on a 10 inch wide rim, it would be like “normal”.
What size rim fits 35X12 5×17?
8.5”
From what I have read, it can be done but the 35×12. 5×17 tires require an 8.5”wheel to prevent a ballooning effect of the tire causing excessive wear in the center of the tire. A 315/70/17 tire is similar to the 35” tire in size and requires an 8” wide wheel to prevent wear.
