Does Citra allow cheat codes?
Citra finally has inbuilt cheat support! Just download the latest build and go to Emulation -> Cheats. So, I recently found out that you can use an application called Cheat Engine on the Citra emulator. Basically, you can use this application if for any reason you want to cheat in games.
What is CIA in Citra?
CIA stands for CTR Installable Archive, hence Citra install them in the same way a 3DS would, that’s their intended purpose. Directly running CIAs is not supported. So while you could use it to install games, then find them in emulated SD to run, it’s much easier just to use .CXIs .CCIs or .3DSs in the first place.
How do I increase my Citra speed?
A few tricks I’ve learned that are quite easy are:
- Close all your other windows. This method will increase your FPS by at least 5 to 10.
- Keep your laptop charged while playing.
- To actually get the FPS above 30, you need to go to Emulation -> Configure -> General and change the max framerate to about 300%.
Can you use Action Replay codes on an emulator?
To get started with inputting codes, on the Desmume toolbar select “Emulation” as shown in the screen shot above then select “Cheats” and “List”. Doing this will bring up the same box that you see in the screen shot below. At this screen you’ll want to choose Action Replay.
How do you use cheats on Pokemon Emerald no GBA?

However, if the game still does not start, try to represent other types of saving and every time restart the game.
