The Ponce Inlet tower is still a working lighthouse today and uses the historic 30-second rotation and characteristic. The 175-foot tower is open for climbing, and yes, you are invited to climb the 203 steps up to the main balcony! Our lighthouse is called a brick giant for good reason.

Yes, the lighthouse is open for climbing. With the exception of the lantern room which houses the tower’s third order Fresnel lens, the entire lighthouse is accessible to the public, however, we ask that you be aware of the following rules and safety tips before climbing the 203 steps to the top.

Admission is $6.95 per adult and $1.95 for children. I dont think pets are allowed inside the Ponce Inlet lighthouse and Museum. Right beside the lighthouse is the Ponce Inlet park– its like a big area for walking your pets. Keep in mind there is a separate entrance fee for the Ponce Inlet park.
How do you get to disappearing island?
You can only reach Disappearing Island via boat or personal watercraft. Although there is no public ferry system to get there, it is easily accessible – you can get there on your own boat or rent a boat.
Are dogs allowed on the beach in Ponce Inlet?
Leashed dogs are allowed on the inlet and river shoreline beach Lighthouse Point Park located on north side of Ponce de Leon Inlet. Lighthouse Point Park and Ponce Inlet Dog Beach is a great place to relax with Fido and it provides a wonderful view of Ponce Inlet Lighthouse.
