How do I set up HFS?
Just put the “hfs.exe” file in a folder of your choice (perhaps named HFS), and run it. The first time it runs, you are prompted to see if you wish to integrate it into the context menu. If you pick “yes”, then in Window’s Explorer you can simply right-click on a file to add it to HFS (and make it downloadable).

The job that writes the data to the hard drive takes 50% longer on NTFS than on nonjournaled HFS+. Moreover, that job also has to receive the data over a LAN, and the LAN speed doesn’t change, so the actual disk write to NTFS may actually be about twice as long.
