Should you clean hamster nest?
Edit: I usually do a nest clean once every 2-3 weeks, with spot cleaning in the rest of the cage daily or every two days. My hamster sleeps in houses and corners so it is simply a lot easier to clean. I usually go through and clean it once a week.
Should I clean my hamsters food stash?
I would try to avoid cleaning the whole cage at once, just spot clean as needed & only remove any food they may be going bad (if she stashes any fresh food & not just seeds) if you do clean the cage save some of the old stash & put it back where it was or just replace it with a little fresh hamster mix.
