Letter of Evaluation (LOE) The LOE (AF Form 77, Letter of Evaluation) cover periods of your performance too short to require an OPR (Change in Reporting Official (CRO) with less than 120 days supervision), or periods of time when you’re under the supervision of someone other than your designated rater.

What are evaluations in the Navy?
The purpose and goal of the Navy Eval is to accurately and fully describe performance. This is often accomplished by listing the notable achievements of the person being rated. While listing significant achievements does provide some insight into a person’s capabilities, it doesn’t provide the whole picture.

What is process for the performance evaluation?
Performance evaluation is the process by which manager or consultant examines and evaluates an employee’s work behavior by comparing it with preset standards, documents the results of the comparison and uses the results to provide feedback to the employees to show where improvements are needed and why.
Can you promote with a UIF?
An active UIF must be reviewed whenever you are being considered for promotion, reenlistment, PCS, PRP, just to name a few. The complete list is located in AFI 36-2907, paragraph 1.7. 1.2. You can PCS with an active UIF; however, the file is forwarded to your gaining commander.
What is an EPR shell?
This document, commonly referred to as a “shell,” advises the rater an EPR is due and provides the information required to complete section I of the EPR. The rater is required to review the ratee’s personnel information file. This file contains pertinent information the supervisor can use when writing the EPR.

A Personnel Accounting Symbol (PAS) code is a unique eight character code assigned to each individual unit of the U.S. Air Force. Each person who is assigned to a specific air force unit will share the same PAS code.
