What did Jesus first say?
When Jesus began his public ministry, his first words were, as recorded in Matthew 4:17, “Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.” As he began his ministry, he called James, John, Peter and Andrew from their nets.
What did Jesus say we must do?
The two most important things Jesus asked us to do was (1) love God and (2) love people. The more I grow in loving God and keeping in step with Him, the more He strengthens my character so that I can love others well. Loving people means loving them exactly as they are.
What did Jesus said about himself?
Second, Jesus claimed to be the only way to God. “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; I and the Father are one.” (John 10:28, 30) Only God could give eternal life, and this made it clear to all, that Jesus was claiming He was God Himself.
What Jesus said when he was crucified?
In Mark’s Gospel, he’s mocked by both robbers who are being crucified with him. And at the end, his only words are his cry of dereliction, as it’s called: My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? And then he cries out and dies, and that’s it.
What is the last thing Jesus said?
Jesus knew that his mission was now finished, and to fulfill Scripture he said, “I am thirsty.” A jar of sour wine was sitting there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put it on a hyssop branch, and held it up to his lips. When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
